QUARZIA was founded in Bali by two Italian designers who fell in love with the island and decided to make it home to their handmade Batik specialised label, setting up their batik factory in the heart of Ubud.

Coming from a fashion background, Simonetta as a textile designer and Marco as financial manager, Bali seemed like the perfect option to make a change in their life and career: “the freedom to express ourselves and the artistic skill of the Balinese people were great motivators for us”.

Simonetta and Marco, enchanted by the Indonesian batik manufacturing technique, started to design clothes using the ancient art of fabric decoration adding a contemporary European twist. This approach allowed them to revolutionise the design while keeping the Indonesian tradition alive.

QUARZIA handmade batik are inspired by the beauty of tropical nature such as petals, the delicate elegance of flowers, palm trees and peacock feathers. The use of geometric patterns is prominent too. QUARZIA’s design team enjoys playing with various shapes, lines and colours to produce visual effects that can bring to mind the delicate veins of a leaf or the vibrant bursts of light in a sunset. Shading and colours layering also come into play, creating soft and unique effects.

Silk dresses drape the body in figure-flattering cascades of fabric, seductive tops fall elegantly off the shoulder to reveal just a hint of skin, and loose, satiny pants feature clean lines that create the illusion of length and provide comfort and room to move.

The handmade batik come in luxurious fabrics like silk, chiffon and cotton.

QUARZIA’s team believes in “eternal” clothes that are one-of-a-kind with unique designs, cuts and style that are both timeless and cutting edge.
